Rushing Iota Eta Pi - Rules and Information
[image] If you are already familiar with how sororities operate, then you know that the only way to get invited to pledge is to take advantage of Rush Week activities to make as good of an impression as possible on as many of the current sorority sisters as possible. That is certainly true of Iota Eta Pi. Unlike other sororities, however, it is always Rush Week at I-Ate-a-Pie, and so Rush activities are often individualized for each applicant. To begin, you must post a description of yourself at the Rush Week - START HERE thread. Remember, only the best-of-the-best are invited to pledge our sorority. If an I-Ate-a-Pie Sister considers your description sufficiently interesting, then she might start a thread for you to continue rushing Iota Eta Pi. On the other hand, if it is boring, or even just ordinary, you will be left standing alone by the punch bowl and petite fores, feeling awkward and inadequate. 1) You must obey every rule. 2) You must obey every current I-Ate-a-Pie Pledge, unless her order contradicts or is countermanded by a current I-Ate-a-Pie Sister, the Chapter President or the House Mother. 3) You must obey every current I-Ate-a-Pie Sister, unless her order contradicts or is countermanded by the Chapter President or the House Mother. 4) You must obey the Chapter President, unless her order contradicts or is countermanded by or the House Mother. 5) You must obey the House Mother. 6) You may not start a new thread; i.e., you may not use the "Post a new Topic" function. If an I-Ate-a-Pie Sister considers your description sufficiently interesting, then she might start a thread for you to continue rushing Iota Eta Pi. Other Sisters and Pledges may then decide to join in your Rushing activities. If your Rush Thread satisfies us that you might someday be worthy to eventually become an I-Ate-a-Pie Sister, then we'll close your Rush Thread, and start your Pledge Thread. There's no way to predict how long your Rush Thread may go. It depends on how many Sisters and Pledges take interest in you, and how well you satisfy them as to your worthiness to pledge Iota Eta Pi. Your Rush Thread will be closed when one of two things happens: 1) we decide you simply are not suitable to join Iota Eta Pi; or 2) we invite you to pledge Iota Eta Pi. If it is the latter of these, then your Rush Thread will be closed, and your Pledge Thread will be started to replace it. Good luck, and never forget what everyone's told you since you first decided to come to college: "A girl would do ANYTHING for a chance to pledge Iota Eta Pi."
